I decided to create a blog because I got fed up with all of the chaos in the world. I stopped appreciating all the little things in life that I use to enjoy. Such as museums, strolls in the park, sitting in a book store for hours and getting lost in some of the worlds' greatest novels. I wanted to create a space away from friends and family and just for me. Somewhere to express myself and allow me to channel all of the things that make me... ME

Lion Dance Festival:

Basically the festival is held during chinese new year. A group of people in the drangon costume dance around to the beat of some drums. Then they go into each business around china town collecting red envelopes by opening the mouth of the dragon and the business owners putting the envelope inside. Its believe that allowing the dragon to come into the business will bless it. My wife was the one that brought me here; she wanted to enhanced my cultural competence hehe I love it when she uses social work terminology :)
